The Meteorology Measuring Column: A Unique Attraction in Palić

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are already in the Palić Lake area, the Meteorology measuring column is located in the beautiful park surrounding the lake. From the main entrance of the Palić Lake Park, head south along the lakeshore path. Stay on this path for about 500 meters. You will pass several scenic spots and benches along the way. Keep an eye out for the column on your right; it will be visible as you approach. The walk should take around 10 minutes.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle at various rental shops around Palić Lake. Once you have your bike, start from the main entrance of the Palić Lake Park. Cycle along the lakeshore path heading south. The route is flat and scenic, making it a pleasant ride. After approximately 500 meters, you will see the Meteorology measuring column on your right. This journey should take about 5 minutes.

• Car

  If you're driving, head towards Palić Lake from the nearest city, Subotica. Follow the signs to Palić and park at the designated parking areas near the lake. From the parking lot, walk south along the lakeshore path for about 500 meters. The Meteorology measuring column will be on your right. Be aware that parking may have a small fee, typically around 100 RSD (Serbian dinar).

• Public Transportation

  To reach Palić Lake via public transportation, take a bus from Subotica to Palić. Buses run frequently and the fare is usually around 150 RSD. Once you arrive at the Palić bus stop, walk towards the lake and follow the lakeshore path heading south for about 500 meters. The Meteorology measuring column will be visible on your right as you approach it.
