Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Anse Royale, head southwest toward the beach. Walk along the main road, and when you reach the junction, take the road that leads towards the south (signposted for Anse Takamaka). Continue straight for about 2 kilometers, following the signs. You will pass a few local shops and restaurants along the way. Keep an eye out for the turnoff to Anse Takamaka Beach on your left. The beach is a short walk down a path from the road.

  • Public Bus

    From Anse Royale, head to the nearest bus stop located on the main road. Take bus number 21 or 22 heading towards Baie Lazare. After about 10 minutes, ask the driver to let you know when you reach Anse Takamaka Beach. The bus will drop you off at the nearest point to the beach, and from there, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the beach entrance.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from Anse Royale and cycle south along the main road. Follow the same route as the walking directions, maintaining caution as you navigate along the road. The distance is approximately 2 kilometers. Once you reach the turnoff for Anse Takamaka Beach on your left, park your bicycle and walk down the path to the beach.
