Car
If you are driving a car, start your journey from Victoria, the capital of Mahé Island. Head southeast on the main road (Lungos Road) towards the Anse Royale area. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the road leading to La Misère. Turn onto the road marked for La Misère. Follow this winding road uphill for about 15 minutes until you reach Mirante La Misere. There is limited parking available at the observation deck.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Victoria. Look for buses heading towards Anse Royale or La Misère. Ensure to ask the driver to drop you off at the La Misère stop. From there, you will need to walk along the road for about 15 minutes uphill to reach the observation deck. It's advisable to wear comfortable shoes as the terrain can be steep.
Taxi
Alternatively, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Mahé Island. Request the driver to take you to Mirante La Misere. This option is more expensive than public transport but offers convenience and direct access to your destination without the need for walking. Ensure to agree on a fare before the journey begins.
