Make sure your vehicle is suitable for the road conditions, as some areas may be rough.

    In Kenema, find a local taxi or shared taxi heading towards Bo. You can ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Tiwai Island. Once you reach the junction, you may need to negotiate with a motorbike taxi (okada) or walk the remaining distance to the sanctuary, which is about a 5-kilometer trek. Be prepared for a short hike along the path leading to Tiwai Island. The taxi fare from Kenema to the junction should be around 5,000-10,000 Leones.
