Getting There

  • Car

    From Lake Piso, head east on the main road towards Tima. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the outskirts of Tima. Look for the sign for Mayosso Wildlife Sanctuary near F89C+VM7, Unnamed Road. Turn left onto the Unnamed Road and continue for about 5 kilometers. The sanctuary entrance will be on your right. Make sure your car is well-maintained, as some roads may be rough.

  • Public Transportation

    Catch a shared taxi or a minibus heading towards Tima from Lake Piso. These can be found at the local taxi stand. The fare is typically around 100-200 Liberian Dollars. The journey should take about 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Tima, ask the driver to drop you off at the main road junction. From there, you can hire a motorbike taxi (okada) for about 300 Liberian Dollars to take you to the entrance of Mayosso Wildlife Sanctuary, which is approximately 5 kilometers away.
