From Port Loko town, head south on the main road (A3) towards the town of Sussex. Follow the road for approximately 20 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs indicating Sussex, as you'll want to stay on this main route. Once you reach Sussex, look for local signs directing you to River 2 Beach. The beach is located at the coordinates 8.334163 latitude and -13.204408 longitude, which should lead you right to the beach entrance. Parking may be available nearby, but confirm with local vendors upon arrival.
Public Transportation
In Port Loko, find a local taxi or 'kekeh' (motorcycle taxi) heading towards Sussex. The fare is generally around 5,000 to 10,000 Leone depending on your negotiation skills. Inform the driver that you want to go to River 2 Beach. The journey should take about 30 to 45 minutes depending on road conditions. Once you arrive in Sussex, ask locals for directions to River 2 Beach, as it is a popular spot and they will be able to guide you. Be prepared to walk a short distance from where the taxi drops you off.
