From Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary, head east on the main road towards Freetown. Continue straight for approximately 10 km until you reach the junction at Lumley Beach. Turn right at the junction, and follow the signs for Banana Island. After approximately 30 km of driving, you will arrive at the ferry terminal in Banjul. There is a ferry service that operates from here to Banana Island. The ferry ride takes about 20-30 minutes and costs around $5 per person. Make sure to check the ferry schedule for departure times.
