Car
If you are driving from Tokeh Beach, head northeast on the main road towards Freetown. Continue on this road for approximately 12 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Aberdeen Beach. As you approach Freetown, you will see a junction; take the right turn onto the road leading to Aberdeen. Follow this road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Aberdeen Beach. Parking may be available nearby, but be prepared for a small fee, usually around 2,000 to 5,000 Leones.
Public Transportation (Taxi or Shared Taxi)
To reach Aberdeen Beach from Tokeh Beach using public transport, first, catch a taxi or shared taxi heading towards Freetown. These can usually be found at designated taxi stands in Tokeh. The fare to Freetown should be around 10,000 to 15,000 Leones. Once you arrive in Freetown, you will need to transfer to a taxi heading towards Aberdeen. Make sure to inform the driver of your destination. The fare for this leg of the journey will typically range from 5,000 to 10,000 Leones. After about 10-15 minutes, you will arrive at Aberdeen Beach. Ensure you have small change available for easier transactions.
Motorbike Taxi (Okada)
For a quicker and more adventurous option, you can hire a motorbike taxi (commonly known as Okada) from Tokeh Beach to Aberdeen. You can find motorbike taxis parked at various points along the beach. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey; it should be around 20,000 to 30,000 Leones. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Just ensure that the rider knows the exact location of Aberdeen Beach, and wear a helmet for safety.
