From Bugis MRT Station, exit onto Victoria Street and head towards the National Library. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Bras Basah Road. Cross the road towards the direction of the National Museum of Singapore. Walk along Bras Basah Road until you reach the junction with Bencoolen Street. Turn left onto Bencoolen Street and continue walking until you reach the junction with Middle Road. At Middle Road, turn right and head towards the junction with Fort Canning Park. Cross the road at the traffic lights to enter Fort Canning Park. Follow the signs directing you to the park exit which leads you towards River Valley Road. From there, you can either take a bus or continue walking towards Tyersall Avenue.

From Bugis MRT Station, head to the bus stop across the street. Look for bus service number 7 or 77. Board the bus and get off at the bus stop opposite the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Walk towards Tyersall Avenue which is just a short walk from the bus stop, and you will find the entrance to the Singapore Botanic Gardens Gallop Extension.
