    If you are starting from the Chinatown MRT station, exit through Exit A. Upon exiting, walk straight along Pagoda Street, passing by the Chinatown Street Market. Continue walking until you reach the end of Pagoda Street, then turn left onto Trengganu Street. Walk straight until you hit the junction with Smith Street, then turn right onto Smith Street. Continue walking until you reach the junction with Telok Ayer Street, then turn left. Follow Telok Ayer Street until you reach the junction with Tanjong Pagar Road, where you will turn right. Keep walking straight and you will come across the bus stop at the junction of Joo Chiat Road. From there, it's a short walk to the Peranakan Houses at 287 Joo Chiat Road, which will be on your left.

    From Chinatown MRT station, take the Downtown Line and travel towards the Expo MRT station. Alight at the Eunos MRT station. From Eunos, exit the station and walk to the bus stop located on the main road. Take Bus 155 towards Bedok. After about 10 stops, alight at the bus stop after the junction of Joo Chiat Road. Walk straight along Joo Chiat Road for about 5 minutes, and you will reach the Peranakan Houses located at 287 Joo Chiat Road on your left.
