Walking
From East Coast Park, head towards the exit of the park nearest to Marine Parade Road. Follow the pedestrian path along the coast until you reach the entrance of the park, where you will see the main road. Cross Marine Parade Road carefully at the designated pedestrian crossing. Once across, you will be on the opposite side of the road from East Coast Park. Continue walking straight along Marine Parade Road until you reach a bus stop. From there, you can take Bus 31 or 43.

Board Bus 31 or 43 at the bus stop on Marine Parade Road. Stay on the bus for approximately 10-15 minutes. You will need to alight at the stop for Kallang MRT Station. After getting off the bus, head towards Kallang MRT Station. Enter the station and take the MRT on the East West Line towards Pasir Ris.

After boarding the MRT, travel for 2 stops and alight at the Lavender MRT Station. Exit the station and head towards the nearest exit that leads to Kallang Road. Once outside, turn right on Kallang Road and walk straight until you reach Verdun Road. The Syed Alwi Road - Heritage Marker will be located on Verdun Road. It should take about 10-15 minutes to walk from the MRT station to the heritage marker.
