From Tampines MRT Station, take the East West Line (EWL) towards Pasir Ris. Alight at Tanah Merah MRT Station. Transfer to Bus 35 from the Tanah Merah Bus Interchange. Take Bus 35 and alight at the bus stop opposite the Singapore Expo. From there, take Bus 36 to the bus stop at Changi Village. Once at Changi Village, take the ferry to Desaru. The ferry will take you directly to Desaru, Johor, Malaysia.

Start from Tampines MRT Station and board the East West Line (EWL) towards Pasir Ris. Alight at Joo Koon MRT Station. Exit the station and find the Joo Koon Bus Interchange. Board Bus 160 or 170, which will take you to the Woodlands Checkpoint. After clearing immigration, take Bus 950 from the Woodlands Bus Interchange. Alight at the bus stop nearest to Desaru.
