Getting There

Bicycle

From the main entrance of East Coast Park, locate the dedicated cycling path. Rent a bicycle from one of the nearby bike rental shops. Head east along the path toward the park's exit. Continue cycling straight until you reach the junction with East Coast Parkway (ECP). Follow the signs to exit towards the ECP towards Changi Airport. After about 10 km, exit at the junction for the road leading to Desaru Beach. Follow the local signs to your destination. Please note that this route may take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Public Bus

From East Coast Park, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on East Coast Parkway. Take bus number 36 or 43 towards the city. Alight at the bus stop opposite Bedok MRT Station. From there, transfer to bus number 1 or 2 towards Tanah Merah MRT Station. Get off at Tanah Merah and take the MRT to Pasir Ris MRT Station. From Pasir Ris, board the bus number 89, which will take you to the ferry terminal at Changi Point. Take a ferry to Desaru Beach. The total journey will take approximately 3 to 4 hours.
Walking

Walking directly to Desaru Beach is not feasible due to the distance. However, you can walk to the nearest bus stop on East Coast Parkway and take public transport as described above. Alternatively, if you enjoy long walks, you can walk along the beach path in East Coast Park until you reach the end of the park and then find your way back to the main road to catch a bus to your destination.
