If you are driving, head towards the Old Town area of Bratislava. From the center, take Karadžičova Street towards the Danube River. Continue onto Hurbanovo námestie and follow the signs to the Old Town. Once you reach the Old Town, look for parking options nearby. The closest parking facility is the 'Karpaty' parking garage located at Karpaty, 811 01 Bratislava. After parking, walk towards Hrad (Castle), where the Vienna Gate is located.
Public Transportation
To reach the Vienna Gate via public transportation, take tram line 1, 3, or 5 from any central location in Bratislava. Disembark at the 'Zámok' stop, which is the closest stop to the Bratislava Castle (Hrad). From there, walk up the hill towards the castle. You will arrive at the Vienna Gate, which is located at Hrad, 811 01 Old Town. A single ticket for trams costs approximately €0.90 and is valid for 30 minutes.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of the Old Town, walking to the Vienna Gate is a pleasant option. Simply navigate towards the Bratislava Castle area. Follow the signs leading to Hrad, which will take you directly to the Vienna Gate entrance. The walk from the main square (Hlavné námestie) takes about 15-20 minutes and offers beautiful views of the city.
