Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Podpoľanie. Head northwest on the main road (E77) towards Hrochoť. After approximately 10 kilometers, take the exit toward Hrochoť. Continue straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach the village of Hrochoť. Once in Hrochoť, follow the signs to Jánošíkova skala. There is a parking area available near the site, which may incur a small fee (around €2).
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Podpoľanie to Hrochoť. Buses typically run every hour, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Hrochoť, you may need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to reach Jánošíkova skala. Follow the main road and look for signs directing you to the site. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as the last bus back may leave in the early evening.
Bicycle
If you prefer a more active way to reach Jánošíkova skala, consider renting a bicycle in Podpoľanie. Cycle northwest on the main road (E77) towards Hrochoť, which is about 13 kilometers away. The route is relatively flat but be cautious of traffic. Once in Hrochoť, follow the signs to Jánošíkova skala. Make sure to bring water and snacks, as there are limited facilities along the way.
