Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the town of Telgárt. From the center of Telgárt, head south on the main road (Unnamed Road) for about 3 kilometers. Follow the signs for the Hron River spring. The road may be narrow, so drive carefully. You will reach the parking area near Prameň Hrona, which is well-marked.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from major cities like Banská Bystrica or Poprad to Telgárt. The Slovak public bus service (ZSSK) operates regular routes. Once in Telgárt, you can either walk (approximately 3 kilometers south) or arrange for a taxi to take you to the Prameň Hrona. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited on weekends.

• Walking

  If you are already in Telgárt and prefer to walk, start from the town center. Head south on the Unnamed Road, which gradually leads to the Hron River spring. The walk is approximately 3 kilometers and can take about 30-40 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views along the way, but be cautious of traffic on the road.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Telgárt to Prameň Hrona. Taxis are available in the town, and the fare should be reasonable due to the short distance (about 5-10 euros). Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
