Walking
From the center of Strbske Pleso, head towards the Strbske Pleso train station. Once you reach the station, follow the signs towards the Tatranska magistrala, a popular hiking trail that leads into the High Tatras. The trail to Capie pleso is well-marked. The hike is approximately 1.5 hours from the station and covers about 4 kilometers. Make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, take a bus from Strbske Pleso to the nearby village of Tatranska Lomnica. From Tatranska Lomnica, you can take a taxi to the nearest trailhead to Capie pleso. The taxi ride will take about 15-20 minutes and may cost around €10-€15. Once you arrive, follow the marked trail to Capie pleso, which should take about 30-45 minutes on foot.
Car
If you are traveling by car, set your GPS to Capie pleso, Vysoké Tatry. Drive from Strbske Pleso towards Tatranska Lomnica. You will find parking spaces available at the trailhead near the lake. The drive takes approximately 20 minutes. After parking, follow the hiking trail leading to Capie pleso, which is about a 30-minute walk.
