Car
If you are driving from Poprad, take Route 537 towards Vysoké Tatry. Continue on this road until you reach the village of Tatranská Lomnica. From Tatranská Lomnica, turn onto Route 18 and follow the signs for the Čierne pleso parking area. There is a parking fee of approximately €5 for a full day. After parking, you will need to walk approximately 6 km to reach Čierne pleso along a designated trail.
Public Transportation
From Poprad, take a train or bus to Tatranská Lomnica. The train station is located near the bus stop, making transfers easy. Once in Tatranská Lomnica, you can find shuttle buses or local taxis that can take you to the Čierne pleso parking area. Expect to pay around €2-€4 for the bus or taxi ride. After arriving at the parking area, you will need to hike approximately 6 km to reach Čierne pleso.
Hiking
From the Čierne pleso parking area, begin your hike following the marked trail. The path is well-maintained, but be prepared for a moderately challenging hike. It should take around 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Čierne pleso from the parking area. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and bring sufficient water and snacks for the journey.
