Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Zakopane, which is a popular base for visitors to the Tatras. From Zakopane, take the road towards Kiry. Continue along the road until you reach a fork, where you should follow signs for the Tatra National Park. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes. You should park at the designated parking area near the entrance to the park, where a parking fee may apply (around €5 for the day). After parking, follow the marked trails leading to The Silent Valley.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Zakopane to the Tatra National Park entrance. Buses run frequently and the journey takes about 40 minutes. You can buy tickets at the bus station or on the bus (about €2). Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to walk to the trailhead leading to The Silent Valley. Follow the clearly marked paths that will guide you through the stunning landscapes.
Hiking
Regardless of whether you arrive by car or public transport, be prepared for a hike. The trails to The Silent Valley vary in difficulty. Make sure to wear sturdy hiking boots and bring water and snacks. The hike can take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Follow the route signs, and enjoy the beautiful vistas along the way. Keep an eye out for wildlife and local flora!
