Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey in Poprad, which is the nearest major city to the Tatras. From Poprad, take Route 537 towards Vysoké Tatry. Follow the signs to Tatranská Lomnica. Once in Tatranská Lomnica, continue on the main road until you reach the parking area near the cable car station. Park your car here (note that parking fees may apply). From the cable car station, you can take the cable car to Hrebienok, which is a common starting point for hiking in the area.

To reach Great Cold Valley using public transportation, take a train or bus from Poprad to Vysoké Tatry. The most convenient option is to take a bus from Poprad to Tatranská Lomnica. Once you arrive at Tatranská Lomnica, walk to the cable car station and purchase a ticket for the cable car to Hrebienok (approximately €10 one way). After reaching Hrebienok, you can start your hike towards Great Cold Valley.
