Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Zakopane. Head east on ul. Krupówki towards ul. Piłsudskiego. Continue onto ul. Droga do Rojów, which will lead you out of Zakopane. Follow signs for Tatra National Park. You will reach the entrance of the park at the parking lot near Palenica Białczańska. There is a parking fee of around 30 PLN (approximately $8) per day. From this parking lot, the path to Morskie Oko begins.
Public Transportation
To use public transportation, take a bus from Zakopane to Palenica Białczańska. Buses leave from the main bus station in Zakopane, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. The fare is approximately 10-15 PLN (around $2-4). After you arrive at Palenica Białczańska, you will need to walk approximately 8 km (5 miles) along a well-maintained path to reach Morskie Oko. The hike usually takes around 2 hours.
Taxi Service
For a more direct option, consider taking a taxi from Zakopane to Palenica Białczańska. This can be arranged through local taxi companies or ride-sharing apps. Expect to pay around 80-100 PLN (approximately $20-25) for the ride. Once at Palenica Białczańska, begin your hike along the designated path to Morskie Oko.
Bike Rental
If you're adventurous, you can rent a bike in Zakopane and ride to Palenica Białczańska. Many rental shops are available in the city. After reaching Palenica Białczańska, you will need to park your bike and walk the remaining distance to Morskie Oko. Ensure you're comfortable biking uphill, as it can be quite steep in some areas.
