Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, Liptovský Mikuláš. Head east on Route 18, then merge onto Route 59 heading towards Demänovská Dolina. Continue on this road until you reach the fork, then take the left fork onto Route 59 towards the Nízke Tatry National Park. Follow the signs for Jasná, which is a well-known ski resort area. Once you arrive at Jasná, look for the parking areas designated for hikers. You will need to park your car and prepare for the hike to Priečne sedlo.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Priečne sedlo via public transportation, take a train or bus to Liptovský Mikuláš. From there, you can catch a bus to the Demänovská Dolina area. Buses run regularly, but it's best to check the current schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Demänovská Dolina, you may need to take a local taxi service or find a shuttle that operates to the Jasná ski area, which serves as the starting point for the hike to Priečne sedlo.

  After parking your car or arriving by public transport at Jasná, begin your hike to Priečne sedlo. The trailhead is well-marked and usually starts near the ski lifts.
