Car
To reach Slovak Karst from the High Tatras by car, start on the D1 motorway. Drive south for approximately 85 km until you reach the exit for Rožňava (Exit 153). Follow the signs for Rožňava and continue on the R2 road for about 20 km. Once you arrive in Rožňava, take the road towards Brzotín (approximately 10 km). The destination, Slovak Karst, is located at Hámosiho 188, 049 51 Brzotín. Make sure to check for any parking facilities available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a train from Poprad-Tatry station to Rožňava. The train ride takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Rožňava, take a local bus towards Brzotín. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may vary. After arriving in Brzotín, you can walk to Slovak Karst, which is about 1 km from the bus stop. Look for signs directing you to Hámosiho 188.
Taxi
For a more convenient option, consider taking a taxi from Rožňava directly to Slovak Karst. Taxis are available at the train station or can be ordered through local taxi services. The distance from Rožňava to Brzotín is about 10 km, and the ride should take around 15-20 minutes. The fare may vary based on the time of day and taxi service, so it's advisable to confirm the price before starting your journey.
