Bus
To reach Veľká Homoľa from Trnava, start by heading to the Trnava Bus Station (Autobusová stanica Trnava). You can walk there from the city center, which is about a 10-15 minute walk. Once at the bus station, look for a bus heading to Modra. The journey to Modra will take approximately 30 minutes. When you arrive at the Modra bus station, exit and look for a local taxi or check for any available shuttle services that can take you directly to Veľká Homoľa. Alternatively, you can also ask locals for directions, as the observation deck is known in the area.
Train and Walk
From Trnava, make your way to the Trnava Train Station (Železničná stanica Trnava). This is about a 15-minute walk from the city center. Take a train towards Zvolen or Bratislava and get off at the Modra train station (Modra - Harmónia). The train journey lasts around 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Modra, exit the station and head towards the direction of the town center. From there, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Veľká Homoľa, which is about a 20-30 minute walk uphill from the town center.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to hike to Veľká Homoľa directly from Trnava, start from the city center and head towards the direction of the vineyards and hills. Follow the trails leading towards Modra, which are well-marked. This walk will take you through picturesque landscapes and can take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water as the trail can be steep in places.
