Getting There

Bus
From Bohinj, head to the nearest bus stop, which is typically located in the center of the village. Look for the bus that goes to Ljubljana, as this will be your route. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Ljubljana bus station, exit the bus and follow the signs towards the city center. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the bus station to Mesarski Most. Head south on Trg Osvobodilne Fronte, then turn left onto Slovenska Cesta. Continue walking straight until you reach the Ljubljanica River, then turn right. Mesarski Most will be a short walk along the river.

Train
Take a train from the Bohinj Jezero railway station to Ljubljana. You can check the train schedule in advance as it may vary. The train ride is approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Ljubljana train station, exit and walk towards the city center. Follow the path along Trg Osvobodilne Fronte and continue onto Slovenska Cesta. After about a 15-minute walk, you will reach the banks of the Ljubljanica River. From there, turn right, and you’ll find Mesarski Most shortly ahead.

Walking
If you are already in Bohinj and prefer to explore the area by walking, it’s quite a distance to Ljubljana (around 30 km) and not recommended for most travelers. However, if you are up for a long trek, follow the path that leads through the scenic countryside towards the main road (H4). Continue on the main road towards Ljubljana, and keep an eye out for signposts. Once you arrive in Ljubljana, head towards the city center and follow the river to find Mesarski Most.
