Getting There

  • Bus

    From Koper city center, head to the main bus station, which is located near the waterfront. Take bus number 20 towards Trieste. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Duino bus stop. From the bus stop, walk along the main road (Via Duino) for about 10 minutes, and you will reach Duino Castle.

  • Train and Walk

    Start at Koper train station. Take a train towards Trieste; the journey takes around 20 minutes. Get off at the Duino-Aurisina train station. From the station, exit to the main road and walk for about 15 minutes towards Frazione Duino. Follow the signs for Duino Castle, which will be on your left.

  • Bicycle Rental

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Koper. Head towards the coastal path and follow it north along the shoreline. The ride to Duino Castle will take approximately 45 minutes. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Duino as you approach.
