Getting There

  • Bus

    From Koper, head to the Koper Bus Station located at Kolodvorska cesta 8. Once there, purchase a ticket to Divača. Buses to Divača run regularly throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Divača Bus Station, exit the bus and look for signs directing you to the Skocjan Caves. The caves are about a 30-minute walk from the bus station. Head east on the main road (Divača - Matavun) and follow the signs to the caves.

  • Train

    From Koper Train Station, take a train to Divača. The train ride lasts around 20-25 minutes. After arriving at Divača Train Station, exit and turn left onto the main road. Follow the road signs to Matavun, where the Skocjan Caves are located. It is about a 40-minute walk to the caves from the train station, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Koper. Head towards the coastal bike path that connects to the main road leading to Divača. The distance to the Skocjan Caves is approximately 15 km from Koper, and the ride takes around an hour. Follow the road signs towards Divača and then Matavun. Be cautious, as the roads can be busy.
