Bus
From Koper city center, head to the main bus station, which is located just a short walk from the Tito Square. Look for a bus that is heading towards Motovun. The journey should take around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Motovun bus stop, exit the bus and follow the signs towards the town center. The Town Gate is located at Ul. Joakima Rakovca 3, which is a short 5-minute walk uphill from the bus stop.

If you're already in Koper and prefer walking, you can take a leisurely stroll towards the waterfront and follow the signs leading to the footpath that heads north. This path will eventually lead you through a scenic route to the nearby hills. The distance to Motovun is approximately 25 kilometers, so it is advisable to start early in the day. The walk should take around 5-6 hours, allowing for breaks and enjoying the beautiful countryside.

For the more adventurous, renting a bicycle in Koper can be a great way to reach Motovun. There are several rental shops near the waterfront.
