From the center of Kranjska Gora, head east on Trg pred Zgornjo Savo towards Jureta Žorža Street. Continue straight until you reach the main road, Route 206. Turn left onto Route 206 and walk for about 2 kilometers. After passing the scenic views of the mountains, you will reach a fork. Keep to the right, following signs towards Bovec. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will arrive at Bovec. Fort Hermann is located at 5230 Bovec, which you can reach by following the signs. It's about a 15-minute walk from the center of Bovec.
Bus
From Kranjska Gora, head to the local bus station located on the main road. Look for buses heading towards Bovec; they run regularly throughout the day. The bus journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Bovec, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, Fort Hermann is a short walk away. Simply head towards the center of Bovec, and follow the signage directing you to the fortress, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
