Car
From Mura, take the main road towards Hodoš (Hodoš road). Follow the signs for the A1 highway towards Slovenia's border. Merge onto the A1 and continue south until you reach the exit for Nova Gorica. After exiting, follow the signs for Gorizia. As you enter Gorizia, look for signs indicating Gorizia Castle. You will need to find parking nearby the castle, which may have a fee depending on the location.
Public Transportation
Start at the nearest bus station in Mura. Take a bus towards Nova Gorica; these buses are typically operated by local carriers and may require a transfer in a nearby town. Once you arrive at Nova Gorica, you can switch to a bus heading directly to Gorizia. The bus station in Gorizia is within walking distance to Gorizia Castle. The total fare for the bus journey may vary, so check local schedules and prices before you travel.
Walking from Gorizia Bus Station
Upon arriving at the Gorizia bus station, exit and head northeast on Via Giovanni Mazzini. Continue straight until you reach Corso Verdi, then turn left. Walk along Corso Verdi until you reach the intersection with Via della Vittoria, where you will turn right. Continue straight until you see the signs for Gorizia Castle. The walk should take approximately 20-30 minutes.
