Getting There

Bus
From the center of Nova Gorica, head to the main bus station located on Ulica Tolminskih Puntarjev. Take bus number 1 towards Bovec. The bus ride will take approximately 40-50 minutes. Disembark at the 'Soča' bus stop. From there, walk towards the river and follow the signs towards the Great Soča Gorge, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

Train and Bus
Walk from the center of Nova Gorica to the Nova Gorica train station, which is about a 20-minute walk. Catch a train to Most na Soči (approx. 20 minutes). Once you arrive at Most na Soči station, exit the station and catch bus number 1 towards Bovec. Get off at the 'Soča' bus stop. The Great Soča Gorge is a 15-minute walk from there, following the signs towards the gorge.

Walking
If you are feeling adventurous, you can walk from Nova Gorica to the Great Soča Gorge. Start from the center of Nova Gorica, heading northwest on Ulica Tolminskih Puntarjev towards the Soča River. Follow the river upstream which will take you directly to the gorge. This walk is approximately 10 kilometers and will take around 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
