Bus
From the center of Nova Gorica, walk to the main bus station located at Trg Edvarda Kardelja. Once there, take bus number 6 towards 'Gorizia'. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Aquileia'. From the bus stop, it's a short 5-minute walk to the main attractions in Aquileia.
Train and Bus
Head to the Nova Gorica train station located at Kolodvorska ulica 2. Take a train heading towards Trieste. After about 20 minutes, get off at the 'Gorizia' train station. From there, exit the station and find the bus stop for bus number 6, which will take you directly to Aquileia. The bus ride will take around 15 minutes.
Walking
If you prefer to walk and enjoy the scenery, you can take a leisurely stroll from the center of Nova Gorica to Aquileia. Begin at the central square and head southeast towards the Soča River. Follow the river path for about 8 kilometers until you reach the outskirts of Aquileia. This walk will take you approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.
