Bus
From the center of Nova Gorica, head to the main bus station located at Kolodvorska ulica 15. Take bus number 4 towards 'Grgar'. Ensure to check the bus schedule for the next departure time. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Aquileia'. From the bus stop, walk straight towards Piazza Capitolo, which is about a 10-minute walk. You will see signs directing you to the square.
Train and Bus
Start at the Nova Gorica train station located at Ulica Tolminskih Puntarjev 2. Board a train towards 'Gorizia Centrale'. After arriving at Gorizia Centrale, exit the train station and find the local bus terminal. Take bus number 51 towards 'Aquileia'. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you reach Aquileia, walk for about 10 minutes towards Piazza Capitolo, which will be well-signposted.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous, you can take a scenic walk to Aquileia. Start from the main square in Nova Gorica and head east towards the bridge leading to Gorizia, Italy. Cross the bridge and continue along the main road (Via XX Settembre) until you reach Aquileia. This walk is approximately 15 kilometers and will take around 3-4 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
