Walking
From the main square in Piran, Tartini Square, head towards the coast along the waterfront promenade. Continue walking along the promenade until you reach the end of the peninsula. At the end of the promenade, you'll find the path leading to the bus station. Take a local bus from Piran to Duino, which is approximately a 30-minute ride. Once you arrive in Duino, follow the signs that point towards Duino Castle. The castle is located a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
Public Transport
Start at the Piran bus station, located close to the town center. Board a bus heading towards Trieste and get off at the Duino stop. This journey takes around 20-30 minutes. Once you disembark, walk towards the castle by following the signs. Duino Castle is a 15-minute walk uphill from the bus stop.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Piran. The taxi ride will take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Ask the driver to take you to Duino Castle (Castello di Duino) which is well-known and should be easy for them to locate.
