From the center of Postojna, walk to the Postojna bus station. The bus station is located at Trg Zdravstvenega Doma 1, just a short walk from the main square. After disembarking, walk straight along the main road (Dolnji Vrh) towards the village of Planina. Follow the signs towards Melliwova jelka, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.
