Getting there

Bus

From Postojna, head to the main bus station, which is located at Trg Zgornji Trg 1. You can walk there in about 10-15 minutes from the city center. Once at the bus station, look for the bus to 'Predjama.' Buses run several times a day, typically every hour. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Disembark at the Predjama stop, which is very close to the castle.

Walking

If you prefer to walk, head towards the main road (H4) from Postojna. The distance is approximately 9 kilometers, which will take you about 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the signs for Predjama, and enjoy the scenic views along the way. Be cautious of traffic, especially on the main road.

Bicycle Rental

For a more adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle. Several rental shops in Postojna offer bikes. From the rental shop, cycle towards the H4 road heading to Predjama. The ride is around 9 kilometers and will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on your cycling speed. Follow the road signs to reach the castle.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Postojna to Predjama Castle. Taxis are available at the main bus station or can be called from your accommodation. The ride takes about 15-20 minutes and costs approximately 15-25 euros, depending on traffic and the taxi service.
