Walking
From the center of Sežana, head east towards the main road, which is also known as the E61 or H4 highway. Continue walking for about 20 minutes until you reach the bus station in Sežana. From there, take bus number 8 towards Motovun. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. After arriving at the Motovun bus station, exit the bus and walk up the hill towards the town center for approximately 10 minutes. The Town Gate is located at Ul. Joakima Rakovca 3, and you will see it as you approach the center of Motovun.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Sežana. Start from the center and head towards the E61 highway. Follow the bike path alongside the highway towards Motovun. The ride is scenic and will take you about 50 minutes. Once you reach Motovun, park your bicycle in the designated area near the town center. From there, walk up to the Town Gate located at Ul. Joakima Rakovca 3.
Public Transport (Bus)
To reach Motovun, go to the Sežana bus station and board bus number 8. Ensure to check the bus schedule for accurate times. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Motovun bus station, exit and follow the signs leading to the town center. It is a short 10-minute walk up the hill to the Town Gate at Ul. Joakima Rakovca 3.
