Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From the center of Sežana, head to the main bus station located on the main road (Tržaška cesta). Look for the bus services heading towards Trieste. The bus number you should take is 'M1' or any bus indicating Trieste as a destination. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Trieste bus station (Stazione dei Treni di Trieste), you will be in the city center. From there, follow the signs to the main attractions.

    Walk to the Sežana train station, which is about a 15-minute walk from the center of town. Head south on Tržaška cesta until you reach the train station. Purchase a ticket to Trieste at the station. Trains to Trieste run frequently, and the journey takes around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Trieste Centrale, exit the train station and you’ll be right in the heart of Trieste.
