If you are starting from Velenje's city center (Trg svobode), exit the square and head south towards Cesta svobode. Continue straight, keeping Velenje Castle on your left until you reach the intersection with Ljubljanska cesta. Turn right onto Ljubljanska cesta. Walk straight for about 1 km, and you will see the Velenje Museum on your left at Ljubljanska cesta 54. The museum is easily recognizable with its large sign.

From the main bus station (Avtobusna postaja Velenje), catch a bus that runs along Ljubljanska cesta. After boarding, stay on the bus for about 10 minutes until you reach the 'Muzej' stop. Once you get off, walk back a short distance, and the museum will be on your right at Ljubljanska cesta 54.
