Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Auki, start at the main market area. Head southeast along the main road (Honiara-Auki Road) towards the waterfront. Continue walking until you reach the junction with the road leading to the Auki wharf. Take the left turn onto the road that goes towards the wharf. Follow this road until you see Fishermans Point on your right, marked by a small sign. It's approximately a 20-minute walk from the market.

    If you have access to a bicycle, rent one from a local shop near the market. Begin at the market and cycle southeast along Honiara-Auki Road. Keep an eye out for the junction with the wharf road and turn left. Continue cycling straight until you reach Fishermans Point, which will be on your right side. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.

    Find a motorbike taxi (locally known as a 'boda boda') near the main market area. Negotiate the fare with the driver, and instruct them to take you to Fishermans Point.
