Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Auki, head towards the waterfront. Walk along the main road (also known as the Solomon Islands Highway) that runs parallel to the sea. Keep the ocean on your right as you walk. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach the Auki market. At the market, you will see a large building with various stalls. From there, take the road leading away from the market heading south. After a few minutes, you will come to a fork; take the left path. Continue along this path for about 15 minutes, and you will see St. Barnabas Anglican Cathedral on your right, set back slightly from the road.

  • Bicycle

    If you're renting a bicycle, start from Auki town center and ride towards the waterfront. Follow the same route as for walking, keeping the ocean to your right. After about 10 minutes, you will arrive at the Auki market. Continue past the market, taking the road leading south. After about 15 minutes of cycling, you will reach a fork in the road; take the left path. Ride for another 15 minutes, and St. Barnabas Anglican Cathedral will be on your right. Make sure to park your bicycle in a safe area near the cathedral.
