Getting There

• Car

  If you have access to a car, start your journey from Auki, the capital of Malaita Province. Head south on the main road towards Ruaniu. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours. Follow the signs towards Ruaniu. As you approach Ruaniu, look for the turn-off towards Tasi Beach, which is marked. Turn left onto the road leading to the beach, and follow it until you reach the parking area. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel for the trip, as fuel stations can be scarce.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from Auki to Ruaniu. Buses leave regularly throughout the day from the main bus station in Auki. The fare is usually around 20-30 SBD (Solomon Islands Dollars). Let the driver know you are going to Tasi Beach, and they will drop you off at the closest point to the beach access road. From there, you may need to walk about 15-20 minutes down the road to reach Tasi Beach.

• Walking

  Once you arrive at the drop-off point from either your car or bus, if you need to walk, follow the signs leading to Tasi Beach. The path may not be paved, so be prepared for a short trek. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry any necessary supplies such as water and snacks.

• Boat (Optional)

  If you are near the coastline and wish to reach Tasi Beach directly from the water, you may consider hiring a local boat. This can typically be arranged through local fishermen or at boat rental spots in Ruaniu. Costs can vary, so it's advisable to negotiate beforehand. This option can provide a scenic route to the beach, but ensure you have sufficient knowledge of tides and safety.
