If you are driving to the Mathyolweni Gate from the main Addo Elephant National Park entrance, follow the R335 road. Head south towards the R342 and turn left. After approximately 12 km, you will reach the Mathyolweni Gate. Ensure your vehicle has a valid entry permit, which can be purchased at the park entrance or online. The gate is open daily from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Public transportation options to Addo Elephant National Park are limited. You can take a shuttle service from Port Elizabeth to the park. Look for transport companies that operate within the region. Once you arrive at the main entrance, you may need to arrange for a taxi or another shuttle service to take you to the Mathyolweni Gate, which is approximately 12 km away. Be sure to confirm the cost of the taxi beforehand.
