Merge onto R44 and follow the signs for Strand. Continue straight for about 10 km until you reach Kusweg, where you will find the public beach area. Parking may be available near the beach, but it can be busy during peak times, so plan accordingly.

For those using public transportation, the easiest way to get to Strand is by taking the train from Cape Town. Board a train from the Cape Town station heading towards the Somerset West line. The train ride will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the Strand station. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to the beach. Exit the station and head south on Beach Road until you reach Kusweg.

Alternatively, you can take a bus from Cape Town to Strand. Look for the Intercape or Greyhound buses that depart from the Cape Town bus terminal.
