Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the N2 freeway. From Cape Town, take the N2 southbound towards the airport. Continue on the N2 and take the exit towards M5, following signs for Muizenberg. Merge onto the M5 and continue until you reach the exit for Steenberg Road. Turn left onto Steenberg Road and follow it to the traffic circle. Take the second exit onto Main Road (R310) towards Grassy Park. After driving for about 2 kilometers, turn right onto Pelican Park Road. The entrance to Rondevlei Nature Reserve will be on your left after approximately 1 kilometer. Parking is available at the reserve.

    If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Metrorail train from Cape Town to Grassy Park station. Make sure to check the train schedules in advance.
