Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the V&A Waterfront area, head towards the main entrance of the V&A Waterfront and exit onto the Alfred Mall. Walk towards Dock Road and turn left. Follow Dock Road until you reach the intersection with Granger Bay Boulevard. Turn right onto Granger Bay Boulevard, then turn left onto Beach Road, leading towards the Cape Town City Centre. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Riebeeck Street. At the traffic lights, turn right onto Riebeeck Street and walk straight. You will see Green Market Square on your left.

    From the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), exit the building and head towards the main entrance. Cross over the road to the pedestrian walkway on your left, which leads to the North Wharf. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Lower Long Street. Turn right onto Lower Long Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Burg Street. Turn left onto Burg Street and walk straight. Green Market Square will be on your right.

  • Public Transport (MyCiTi Bus)

    If you are coming from the Cape Town International Airport, take the MyCiTi bus towards the Civic Centre. The bus will take you directly to the Civic Centre station. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk towards the lower end of Adderley Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with St. George’s Mall. Turn left onto St. George’s Mall and keep walking. Green Market Square will be located on your left after a few minutes of walking.

    If you are in the vicinity of the Company's Garden, exit the garden and head towards the entrance on the western side. Walk along Government Avenue and exit onto St. George's Mall. Walk straight along St. George's Mall, and you will reach Green Market Square on your right after a short walk.
