    If you are in Constantia, the most straightforward way to reach the World of Birds Wildlife Sanctuary & Monkey Park is to walk. Start from Constantia Village. Head southwest on Constantia Main Rd (M41) towards Spaanschemat River Rd. After about 1.5 km, turn left onto Hout Bay Rd (M63). Continue walking for approximately 2 km until you see the sanctuary on your right at Valley Rd. The total walking distance is about 3.5 km and should take around 45 minutes.

    From Constantia, you can take the MyCiTi bus service. Walk to the nearest bus stop on Constantia Main Rd. Board the bus heading towards Hout Bay. The fare is approximately R30. Alight at the Hout Bay Main Rd stop and walk about 500 meters to the sanctuary. The total travel time is approximately 30 minutes, including the bus ride.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Constantia. Follow the same route as you would when walking: head down Constantia Main Rd, then onto Hout Bay Rd. The distance is about 3.5 km, and cycling should take around 15-20 minutes. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules.
