Walking
From the main entrance of the V&A Waterfront, head towards the clock tower, which is a well-known landmark. Once you reach the clock tower, continue straight along the waterfront promenade. You will pass various shops and restaurants on your left. Keep walking until you see the large building with the sign 'Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island' on your right. The entrance is clearly marked and easy to spot.

Walking from nearby attractions
If you are coming from the Two Oceans Aquarium, exit the aquarium and head towards the waterfront promenade. Turn right and follow the promenade along the water. Keep walking until you come across the Nelson Mandela Gateway, which will be on your left. The walk should take around 10-15 minutes.

Public Transport (MyCiTi Bus)
If you are coming from the Cape Town city center, you can take the MyCiTi bus. Board the bus heading to the V&A Waterfront at the nearest MyCiTi bus stop. The bus ride is approximately 10-15 minutes. Alight at the V&A Waterfront stop and walk towards the waterfront. Follow the directions to the clock tower as mentioned above.

Ferry
For those who are already in the vicinity of the waterfront, there are also ferries available that take you out to Robben Island. However, you will need to buy tickets for the ferry ride at the Nelson Mandela Gateway. Make sure to book in advance, especially during peak tourist seasons, as tickets can sell out quickly. The ferry ride itself takes about 30 minutes.
