Turn left onto the Esplanade and walk along the shoreline. You will pass several parks and public spaces. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with the North East Expressway (N2). Cross at the designated pedestrian crossing and continue straight until you reach the entrance to the Hood Point Lighthouse area. The lighthouse is located on the eastern side, overlooking the ocean.

From the East London CBD, locate a nearby bus stop that services routes toward the beachfront. Board a bus heading to the Eastern Beach area. Ride until you reach the stop closest to the Esplanade. Disembark and walk towards the waterfront. Follow the Esplanade along the beach until you reach the North East Expressway (N2). Cross at the pedestrian crossing and continue walking straight to the entrance of the Hood Point Lighthouse area.
