Car
If you are traveling by car, start from St Lucia, which is a popular base for exploring the Elephant Coast. Head southwest on the R618 towards the R22. After about 17 km, turn right onto the R22 and continue for approximately 10 km. Look for signs directing you to iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Once you enter the park, follow the signs to Mission Rocks Beach. There is a small entrance fee for the park, so be prepared to pay this at the gate. The road within the park can be bumpy, so drive cautiously. After about 5 km, you will reach the parking area near Mission Rocks Beach. The beach is a short walk from the parking area.

Public Transportation
For visitors relying on public transport, take a minibus taxi from St Lucia to the entrance of iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Minibus taxis are available from various locations in St Lucia, and the fare is generally quite affordable (around R20-30 per person). Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to pay the entrance fee to access the park (approximately R50 for adults). After entering, you can either walk or hire a local guide to take you to Mission Rocks Beach. The walk from the entrance to the beach is about 5 km and may take around 1 hour. Ensure you have water and sunscreen for the journey.
